Old Bicycle Shop is a mainly vegan restaurant located in the former premises of Howes Cycles, the oldest bicycle shop in the country. They closed their doors after 173 years of trading in 2013. The concept takes inspiration from the prestigious heritage and celebrates the previous occupant.

Many of the original wall and floor finishes have been retained from the previous use and from the original Georgian townhouse on the upper floors. The original staircase has been sympathetically extended to provide internal circulation to all four floors.

A bar, restaurant and small external dining yard are located at ground floor. A flexible function space sits above on the first floor. A mix of reclaimed, repurposed and antique furniture add to the sense of heritage and create an authentic restaurant that’s already become a Cambridge stalwart.
